This new learning community focuses on the academic skills you will need to be ready for all the challenges of your college career. You'll develop relationships with your classmates in both classes as you go, adding to your engagement in the college experience and supporting your success.

Writing 115 is a college-level writing class that will introduce you to drafting and revising college-level essays. You will also begin to look at how to evaluate information on the internet and to incorporate sources into your writing. Effective Learning is designed to offer you strategies to help you study effectively, take notes and develop strategies for taking tests. Together these two classes will add to your college-readiness toolkit and prepare you to develop your academic skills.
