Help.lanecc.edu is a support site that includes a knowledgebase for self-support, a live chat support function and a ticketing system to track support.
New enhancements to the system include extending this system to the IT helpdesk technicians so that they are also contributing to and accessing the knowledgebase and we all share the same ticketing system.
We will explore placing the chat icon on the main page to increase visibility and serve as many students and faculty as possible. We also plan to make it more visible through marketing campaigns

Inventory 2.0
This project benefits Lane employees.
The project team consists of primarily IT staff.
This project is to provide an enhanced inventory tracking system, giving technicians and other IT staff the ability to maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software, printing devices, network devices, as well as providing a means to identify equipment that needs to be replaced.
An accurate inventory system that can be maintained by the technicians handling the inventory helps to ensure accuracy in reporting and funding requests. It also provides enhanced ability to provide quality support services to the Lane community.
