It is important to use myLane to drop any classes you do not plan on attending. You are responsible to make any necessary changes to your schedule by the refund deadline. Lane will refund 100% of your tuition if you drop by the deadline. If there is a hold for any reason on your myLane account, you will be unable to drop a class in myLane and will need to come to Main Campus Enrollment and Student Financial Services to drop. For this reason, it is best to drop a class during hours that Enrollment Services on Main Campus is open.

Instructors will drop you using No Show Drop if you do not attend at least one meeting of your class the first week of the term.  For online courses, if you do not meaningfully participate at least once during the first week, your instructor will No Show Drop you.  If this happens, you will have your charges for that class refunded or removed from your billing if you have not yet paid.  Students are still responsible to drop courses they do not plan to attend. 

Check your schedule after making any changes and before the refund deadline. It is possible to scroll schedule options with the mouse scroll wheel, changing your schedule unexpectedly.

• Classes lasting longer than 4 weeks must be dropped by 11:59 pm on the Sunday at the end of the first week of the class for a refund.
• Classes less than 4 weeks must be dropped at least three days before the class begins to receive a refund. 

If you have a documented medical or emergency reason why you dropped your class after the refund deadline, you can fill out the online Refund Request Form and submit it to Enrollment Services. The Refund Request Committee will review your request and respond. If you have further documentation to add to a request, you may email the committee at RefundRequest@lanecc.edu
