Division, program, discipline, and department teams are invited to engage in assessment projects that range from mapping learning outcomes to Core Learning Outcomes (CLOs), to crafting signature projects and supplemental materials, to collecting and assessing artifacts of student learning.  See descriptions of projects A-E in the Request for Assessment Projects.

In addition to project funding (levels A-E), the college is supporting an Assessment Fellows Program.  Faculty may apply to be an assessment fellow, a position that requires the individual coordinate assessment efforts within his/her division, program, discipline, or department.  Assessment fellows receive one 3-4-credit course reassignment for their work.  More detailed information about assessment fellows and how to apply will be distributed by 5/13.

(e.g., Develop and/or refine course outcomes? Inform methods to assess student learning over time? Map outcome language for a series of classes to the Core Learning Outcomes [CLOs]? Assess thresholds for student learning performance? Map CLOs to course outcomes? etc.)

TIMELINE:

(e.g., Collect artifacts winter 2017; Score artifacts in April 2017; Map outcomes in late fall 2016, etc.)
(e.g., Increase articulation between courses in a sequence? Develop faculty understanding of the role of course outcomes? Design a signature* project/assignment? Articulate course outcomes more clearly through mapping to CLOs? etc.) *Signature projects/assignments are assignments shared across sections of a particular course that have the same directions/parameters. Faculty might decide that all sections of a given course should use a shared exam question or assign the same paper option, for instance.

This form is submitted electronically, typing a name will be valid in lieu of signature.
