Admission Information

Automotive Technology - Admission Information

1.  Lane Community College Admission

Fill out an application for admission to the college. If you have never attended Lane before, or if it has been over one year since you last attended, you need to complete a new admission and we encourage you to apply online as it is the fastest and simplest way to become a student at Lane. If you are unable to apply online, you can download an admission application from Lane's website. For more information on how to get started, please visit our Future Students page.

Students are required to submit an email address when applying to the college by using the online admissions process. Students who have already been admitted are required to enter an e-mail address via their myLane account.

2.   Placement Testing

The Testing Office is located in Building #1, Student Services in Room 116.

New Students: Complete college placement tests in reading, writing, and math. Minimum placement test scores are: reading-68, and writing-64.

Students with Prior College: Bring a copy of your transcript(s) when you meet with a program advisor. Math must be current within one year or a placement test will need to be taken.

The following documents must be submitted with the application: any unofficial transcripts (high school and/or college), test score sheets from the testing office, copy of valid driver's license, and a $25 non-refundable application fee.
