Purpose: 

The purpose of this policy is to ensure network security and stability, and to allow students and employees access to internet-accessible services.

Narrative: 

This policy applies to all students and employees of the College.

Lane Community College permits students and employees to bring personally owned mobile devices (laptops, tablets, and smartphones) to College campuses and sites however we cannot guarantee support for these devices. The College allows access to wireless networks for the purpose of giving access to web-based internet services

Definitions: 

Devices and mobile devices: include laptop computers, tablet computers, smart phones and any other computing devices (excluding printers, wireless routers, Apple TVs, Rokus, etc.) used as clients for internet access and are able to access the College wireless internet services.
