Purpose: 

For the purposes of this procedure, the following hiring rate definitions shall apply.

For the purposes of this procedure, the following definitions shall apply.

Current employee - An employee who, on the date of hire into the classified position, was already in another budgeted classified position of not less than .500 FTE (or a
"grandfathered" position of less than .500 FTE), a contracted faculty position or a management position.

New employee - Any individual who does not qualify as a current employee.  This category includes part-time credit faculty, hourly classified staff and Continuing Education instructors.
